Sept 29

Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs and 3 sausage links
Lunch: banana, 1/2 ounce of nuts
Dinner: a bowl of BBQ beef with some veggi cheese on top. I know, I know the BBQ sauce has alot if sugar...
snack: apple

Crossfit:

100 push ups
100pullups
100 squats
100 sit ups

We scaled it to 75 for me. I used the black assistance band for the pull-ups and the green for the push ups. My time was 17:12. I think that next work-out I will use the green assistance band and work on no assistance push-ups!!

I go back to work in 1 day and had to buy some new clothes today since I fit into NOTHING!! So depressing.... I gotta stay focused and get serious if this weight is ever gonna come off!!!!!!

September28th

Breakfast: banana and hard boiled egg
lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs, apple
Dinner: Veggi soup and sugar free applesauce

Crossfit:
30 snatches (used 20kg bar)
I probably could have used more weight, but I am trying to work my way up again. I think that I need to start challenging myself in some of the WODS...

It's been a busy week. I am not sure when I last blogged, but I need to get back on track here.
I know that I Missed Crossfit Wednesday and Thursday, but went Friday

I believe that my time was 12 something

I am not working out tomorrow; going to Madison Farmers market.
I have been eating ok...Although I need to refocus!

Monday Sept 21

Ok, so I didn't post Sunday!! I ate ok, but ended the day with a few too many coronas!!! And no workout! So we'll call it a bust!!
But Monday: back on track....
Breakfast: 3 eggs w/ tsp of eggplant parm. veggies
lunch: apple
Dinner: taco meat, w/ veggies

And no Beers!!!!

I forgot my finish time but it was around 8 minutes, I think!
Not a bad workout today. The last time I did some box jumps, I biffed big time, so I was a bit nervous!!
I havent weighed myself since my Corona binge. I will weigh, myself again at the end of the week. Hopefully I can manage to lose another pound or 2??? Last weigh in was 156...I have to see and say the number cuz, it motivates me to get my ass in shape!!

August 19th

Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: apple and some cheese and Bacon off ma and dads pizza (just the topping)
Dinner: went to family b-day party and pizza was served, ugg... I ended up just nibbling on the veggi tray. My tummy kinda hurt from pizza cheese from earlier!

I ran 2 miles at the Dam today! Gotta get back on track!

August 18th

Friday
No W/out today. Marin was having a "day" and felt bad leaving her with gramps! Plus I had soo much going on. Ladies night tonight at 7. I have already decided that I will have a couple beers with the ladies! I need a night out....
Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs, 4 sausage links.
Lunch: banana and 1 oz. of nuts
Dinner: chicken tenderloins (blah.. they were leftovers) and a few bites of tuna salad

Damage from ladies night:
3 Corona lights
1 small piece of Bruchetta, and a few bites of a cookie concoction that everyone was raving about!
Could have been worse........

August 17

No cross fit today: had class
Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs w/ onion, spinach, ham and 4 sausage links (did not finish all)
Lunch: banana and 1/2 ounce walnuts I was still stuffed from breakfast
Dinner: salmon and salad w/ cucumbers, egg, bacon, tomato, broccoli and tsp of dressing
snack: banana

August 16

Breakfast: banana
Lunch: grilled chicken tenderloins w/ artichoke hearts
snack: Banana 1 oz. of mixed almonds and walnuts
Dinner: 1/2 steak w/ onions and mushroom cooked in some olive oil and a few stems (3) Asparagus
Lots of water....
I need to limit my banana to one a day or even eliminate and replace w/ an apple or some berries. Still a better decision than....

Crossfit:
warm up 500 m. row
worked on press 5 5 5 (20, 25, 25) in between worked on pull-ups (yeh!! They are getting much easier, I maxed out at 13 on cream band) I'm gonna try the green band next!
WOD:
we scaled me down....

4 rounds of 200 m. run and 15 burpees. I hate burpees!!!!!!!! I don't remember my exact time; I believe it was 18 something.

My weight this morning: 156 (down 4 pounds) I'll take it...

September 16

Breakfast: 2 egg omelet
Snack: banana
Lunch: skinless chicken tenderloins, mixed in with 1/3 cup artichoke hearts
snack: I heated a hot in the microwave. I know this was not the best choice, I was feeling hungry and needed something. It was "all Beef" if that makes it any better (ha!)
Dinner: Baked chicken breast w/ a homemade tomato sauce w/ garden veggies.
Lots of water....

Crossfit:
Warm-up
6 50m. sprints, 30 squats, 30 push-ups,
Worked on overhead squats: 3,3,3,3,3 (used 15 kg. bar for each one) I am trying to get my form and strength up to par.
I like how the warm-ups trick you into thinking that they are just "warm-ups" ha, they are workouts!!
WOD: and now for the workout...ha

I compared my time from 5/5: I did 130 with a 10kg. ball in 10 minutes. (5 months pregnant at the time)
Today: I did 130 w/ the same ball, but my time was 13:38 (I think) ( 7 weeks post pregnancy. huh...) I really need to work my way up again!!
The work out kicked my ass though!!!
So my weight-loss progress:
I gained 46 pounds throughout pregnancy and lost 23 within 2 days (yeh), but then scaled stopped moving. My pre-pregnancy weight was 137 and the day I gave birth I reached 183. The scale stopped on 160. As of this morning I weighed 158. I have a feeling that losing this weight is gonna be tuff!!!! I really thought that I could melt this off. My inspiration is that I have never been this heavy and it disgusts me; I have very little that fits right now and I would really like to hold off on buying anything, until I lose a few pounds. I return to work Oct. 1st and my short term goal is to have lost a 3 more pounds by then. Then maybe I'll buy a few clothing items; I'll have to! I dont' think my principal will be cool with me wearing my lounge pants and a tank each day!!!
I think that I need to focus on my diet most of all in order to achieve this goal. I am thinking that I need to keep closer tract of my carb intake and increase my good fats, maybe adding some avaocado to my day instead if um.. a hotdog( which I know is horribe)...

Crossfit today was:
Warm-up: 6 50 m. sprints, 30 squats, 30 pushups, cling progression 3,2,1,1,1 (2k kg)
WOD:
2 rounds of 500 m. row and max rep pull-ups (worked in kipping)

Breakfast: coffee, 1/2 cup strawberries, and banana
Lunch: tuna salad w/ garden veggies
Dinner: Steak salad w/ garden veggies

September 13

Today I ran 2 miles at the Dam. I as able to pick up the pace a bit. I think that I should add a few more runs into my workout each week, to kick it up a notch.
Breakfast:
scrambled eggs w/ green pepper and onion, 2 sausage patties, and about a 1/2 cup of mixed fresh fruit and a slice of melon
Lunch: green pepper, onion, artichoke hearts, and sausage all sauted in a little bit of olive oil.
Dinner: (2) homemade pork tamales ( I couldn't resist...)
Snack: cup of strawberries

September 12

So I am not ready for team Saturday yet; I need to work my way up so that I can be a worthy partner to someone!! Instead I went to the dam and jogged 2 miles; felt real good!
Breakfast: Bowl of strawberries and banana
Lunch: Stuffed Green Pepper. We went to my Nieces first soccer game today and then went to happy Jacks for Ice cream. It was a bit torturous watching my husband eat his smothered fries and his large malt. I had will-power and waited patiently to return home and have my stuff pepper!!
Dinner: we went to a family gathering and was once again tortured with food. Lots and Lots of summer pasta salads!! I was starving and knew that we were gonna stay for awhile. So I had some fruit salad, and about 3 paper thin hamburger patties. I am not sure if they were even real meat though.... I did taste; just taste some BLT dip that my aunt made, and I lost control by the end of the night and had two pumpkin cookies....they were mini cookies...
When we got home, we came across a Julia Child's rerun that was titled Omelet party. The way she taught how to make an omelet was truly amazing; changed my life forever!! ha, but seriously it did; I'll never make an omelet any other way!! It's all about how you move the pan; she even suggested practicing with some dried beans in a pan!! My husband was so excited he tried it out and we capped off our evening with a 2 egg omelet!!
Almost forgot; I had a Miller Lite too!

My time was 11:08 (I think...)
I have got to be honest, after being gone for three months; I have lost soo much strength. I am very frustrated. The pull-ups bothered me the much. 12 pull-ups should be a breeze, and I struggled so much. Grr.... My short term goal is to progress back to the green band and then of course to the blue again! I just gotta keep positive, I will get there!!
Breakfast: just coffee....( I know, never skip breakfast)
Lunch: Went to Panera Bread with my sister-in-law. I had a cobb salad, and a cup of Vegetable soup. I looked it up online and it came to about 600 calories total. The carb. ammount not so good....
Dinner: I made stuffed green peppers (I put rice in them, I know I shouldn't have...)
Snack: banana
I don't think I ate enough calories! I need to work on that, not only to lose weight but to keep my milk plentiful( breastfeeding).

Today was a hectic day. I had Dr. appointments and a grad class. I didn't work out today, and my diet was not the best either!
Breakfast: nothing but cup of coffee
Lunch: 3 scrambled eggs with pepper, mushroom, onion, ham
Dinner:3 scrambled eggs w/spinach, pepper, mushroom, sausage
I really need to go shopping!!
Tomorrow, I will go to Crossfit! I still have a real urge to hit the trails and do some running!!

I have lost 2 pounds though...

September 9, 2009

I was a bit discouraged today at my loss of strength! I needed to use the assistance bar for my push-ups and then could barely do the body pull-ups. I don't remember being this weak, even when I first started. Oh well, I'll get there again!
Here's what I ate
I ate a lot today....
Breakfast
3 scrambled eggs with green pepper/onion/ham
1 cup of black coffee
Lunch
Went to applebees with grams and was not all that hungry yet, so I had a soup salad combo: Shrimp spinach salad (bacon, almonds, sweet pepper, no dressing)
cup of Tomato basil soup
Mid day Snack? The leftover pork chop and green beans from last night dinner
Dinner: Spinach salad w/ cucumbers, bacon and one hard-boiled egg
Split a steak with Ben/ sauteed onions in mushrooms( in olive oil)
And..... I accidentally took a shot of whip cream!! :)
And lots of water
I can't crossfit tomorrow b/c of my class. I would like to go running at moraine hills, but well I am learning that having a baby kinda makes that hard. Maybe gramps will take her again.....

Wow, I haven't ever created a blog yet!! So today was my first day back to cross fit after having a baby 6 weeks ago!! I was kinda scarred...
Today's WOD was not too bad
5 rounds for time:
  • 15 dead lifts (20kg bar)
  • 30 single jump ropes
I left the fort and felt like I could not wait til tomorrow!! I actually have an urge to start running!! maybe tomorrow...
So here what I ate:
Breakfast: my lovely husband made me a three egg omelet with feta, mushroom, onion, and green pepper, 3 slices of bacon and about 1/3 cup strawberries. Along with a cup of black coffee
Lunch: 3 Jacksonville Cheddar betters!!
Dinner: 2 grilled pork chops, one small sweet potato, 1/3 cup green beans (from my garden)
Snack: 1/2 cup sugar free apple sauce!
I drank at least a gallon of water throughout the day!!
My diet needs working on; I need to go shopping and plan my meals out!
